Emmanuel Decaudin is a sophomore in the Macaulay Honors College at The City College of New York, majoring in Political Theory and Intellectual History. He is the Founding President of The City College Democrats. Emmanuel began his involvement in politics during the 2016 election, first as a volunteer for Presidential Candidate Bernie Sanders, then on multiple state and local campaigns. Since then, he has been involved in statewide progressive politics as a founding member of the New York Progressive Action Network, as well as in local politics, as a district leader and town campaign media manager in his home of Yorktown, NY.Outside of the campaign office, Emmanuel spends his time researching populism and democratic theory, and hopes to earn his PhD in political science. A first generation French-American, he now resides in Harlem, splitting his time with Westchester County. His hobbies include IT, photography, and hiking.
