Fund The Future of New York Politics With College Democrats of New York

November 28, 2019-- College Democrats of New York will be hosting a fundraiser at the PressRoom Pub in Syracuse on Thursday, November 29, at 7 pm. Members of College Democrats of New York will be joined by Democratic activists, upstate politicians, and candidates for various offices. Tickets can be purchased at the door or online via the links on our social media pages.

Special guests include Rachel May, State Senator-Elect (SD-53), the City of Syracuse Auditor, Martin Masterpole, and Chad McEvoy, former candidate for New York State Assembly (AD-101) who will reflect on their races, the state of New York politics, and their goals for the future. Jon Lipe, Field Director for the Brindisi for Congress Campaign, will speak about the huge role mobilized College Democrats played in getting Anthony Brindisi elected to Congress on November 6th.

Members of College Democrats of New York knocked on thousands of doors, made thousands of phone calls, and registered thousands of their peers to vote in every corner of the state. These mobilization efforts were key to Democrats winning control of every branch of New York State government for the first time in nearly a decade, and flipping several competitive Congressional seats. Despite the Democratic gains in New York State, there is still plenty of work to be done.

As the leading progressive organization for college students in New York State, College Democrats of New York has set high goals for 2019. Join College Democrats of New York at Fund The Future to help them achieve a progressive agenda in Albany and get more Democrats elected in 2019 and beyond.
