Michael Williams has served as president of the Fredonia College Democrats, campaigned for numerous Democrats across Upstate New York, and is currently a civil servant in the State government. He joined the CDNY family to help young Democrats and Progressives find their community and voice within the political system and party, believing they represent the future of a storied past.
Michael firmly believes that the opportunity to fight for a better future and enhance the lives of many should never be overlooked. He champions a moral approach to politics that his generation has passionately supported in areas such as climate action, gender equality, gun violence prevention, and other causes he is deeply passionate about. Michael stresses that abandoning the fight for a better world would result in losing hope, which he views as the most destructive consequence in these challenging times.

"It’s important for young people to understand how a tolerant and accepting world of different religions, races, and beliefs has brought us to where we are today. We are facing unprecedented threats from the far right across the globe. Young people must stand united worldwide for our fundamental rights. They must get involved, because if we let big-money special interests win in November alongside far-right forces, our generation will lose so much. We must remain steadfastly involved."

"I aim to establish a strong working relationship with all our members and connect with college Democrats across New York State to help mobilize young people to vote in November. This is crucial, as everyone has an equal role in fighting for our values and countering the surging far-right forces in America. I believe we can achieve this goal."
