The Executive Council members of the College Democrats of New York (CDNY) are elected elected by the full membership of CDNY at the annual convention and are considered full voting members of the Executive Board: The President, Vice ­President, Chief of Staff, Political Director, Finance & Development Director, Membership Director, and Communications Director.

 While there are variations within each role and responsibility, their main responsibilities include managing the operations of CDNY, directing and implement all statewide policies, coordinating all statewide or regional activities and events, planning and organize the annual convention, and formulating any official positions on issues, legislation, or candidates.

The President is the Chief Executive Officer of CDNY. They are the official representative of CDNY, and are ultimately responsible for ensuring that the CDNY is operating in accordance with the Constitution.

Vice President

The Vice President is responsible for supporting the CDNY and assists the President in the operations of the organization. They shall assume the role of President when absent & oversee the Caucus Chairs

The Chief of Staff is in charge of the internal operations and functionalities of CDNY. They aid in scheduling, record keeping, and other planning & management tasks to ensure productivity & effectiveness.

The Political Director is responsible for developing political and legislative priorities of CDNY. They identify & organize on issues affecting college students, and are the liaison between CDNY and other organizations.

The Finance & Development Director is the Chief Financial Officer of CDNY. They are responsible for all budgetary & fiscal matters, and ensures that finances are handled accordingly.

The Membership Director is responsible for developing & implementing membership goals and priorities. They certify chapters, coordinate activities between them, and promote the cultivation of new campus chapters.

The Communications Director is the manager of all mediums of communication of CDNY. They are responsible for all public dissemination of information, establishment, and maintenance of media platforms.
